Dr. Renee Powell
IGI was launched following an IWD event in March 2023 organised by Julia Regis and Henni Zuel featuring one of golf’s most iconic players. Renee had an incredible playing career, joining the tour in 1967 and competing in over 250 tournaments including becoming the first African American woman to win on the LPGA. Renee has been a paragon of strength, perserverance and determination which has been evidenced in both her playing career and her work to grow the game of golf, as well as having been recognised with her many awards and accolades.

Golf is my passion and I love doing whatever it takes to make it better and love introducing it to our generation and the next.”
